Enthusiasm Bus (Mobile Classroom)

The mobile classroom of the Hopp Foundation, in cooperation with the Z-LAB Bruchsal, brings modern equipped learning spaces directly to public and non-profit schools in Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate. In the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, students are playfully introduced to computer science and programming: from Calliope Mini and ozobots to senseBox, as well as laser cutting, 3D printing, photovoltaics, and mobile internet, the Begeisterbus offers diverse STEM workshops for all age groups. The goal is to foster enthusiastic learners in the digital environment and to achieve equal opportunities through the integration of contemporary teaching and learning methods. Funding is provided as a grant and can be applied for continuously.

Eligible for funding are public and non-profit educational institutions located or operating within the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region that offer school education for children and adolescents. The funding program is particularly aimed at schools and students interested in digital education, computer science, and programming. By providing hardware and software as well as practice-oriented teaching units, digital concepts are sustainably integrated into everyday school life. Inquiries and applications can be submitted at any time; a basic requirement is the confirmation of the respective location and the educational task. The offer supports teaching and learning processes equally and contributes to strengthening the local digital infrastructure.
