Description
Subsidies from the State of Carinthia for Agricultural Water Management according to K-LFF-2023 support agricultural and forestry enterprises in Carinthia in stabilizing the water balance in rural areas and effectively preventing soil erosion. Both hydraulic engineering and land cultivation measures are funded – from securing landslide slopes and riverbanks to the renaturation of small water bodies and ecologically sensitive drainage solutions. In this way, the program contributes to the preservation of the cultural landscape and protects natural livelihoods. The funding authorities place special emphasis on sustainable construction methods and consider engineering and material costs as eligible, as well as labor services and, if applicable, the acquisition of land.
Eligible applicants include natural and legal persons as well as partnerships registered in the commercial register and their associations, provided they operate an agricultural and/or forestry enterprise in Carinthia. Cooperative facilities are only eligible for funding if annual own contributions of at least €10 per hectare of improved area are provided. Grants can cover up to 65% of eligible costs and are awarded continuously – there is no deadline. Proof of establishment in Carinthia and operation of the enterprise is required. For the application, only a completed funding application and a declaration of commitment need to be submitted. The funding processing office reviews the documents in the order of receipt, ensuring prompt support for projects in the public interest.
