Contribution to the Vorarlberg Civil Protection Association

The contribution from the State of Vorarlberg supports the non-profit Vorarlberg Civil Protection Association in the implementation of key tasks related to civil and disaster protection as well as self-protection. Funding is provided for measures aimed at educating and advising the public through events, lectures, training courses, and the provision of informational materials. Professional support for authorities, businesses, and companies in cooperation with emergency organizations is also included in the scope of funding. A focus lies on participation in the establishment of local and supra-regional security information centers as well as the operational management of the nationally and internationally active Support Unit Austria (SUA). Furthermore, the funding accompanies the development and implementation of disaster protection plans in the association’s regular member municipalities and imparts fundamental self-protection skills.

Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations based in Vorarlberg. Applications and submission of an activity report along with corresponding financial documentation are possible at any time, as there are no deadlines. Funding amount: up to 18,000 euros as a non-repayable grant. The target groups of the funded services are the residents of the state, municipal administrations, businesses, as well as the association’s regular member municipalities. The measures contribute significantly to increasing the safety of the population and strengthening citizens’ competencies in the event of a disaster.
