Description
The Special Senior Citizens' Support in Burgenland assists non-profit organizations in implementing individual measures and projects that sustainably enrich the lives of older people. Funding is provided, among other things, for advanced and continuing education courses, intergenerational events, as well as health prevention offers and informational events. Since January 1, 2002, applications can be submitted continuously, with a non-repayable grant available. The goal is to strengthen participation and understanding between young and old, as well as to enable senior citizens' associations and other clubs to carry out relevant activities. The funding program covers the specialist areas of social affairs, health, education, work & social matters, as well as training & further education, thus contributing to a holistic added value for the older generation in Burgenland.
Eligible for funding are exclusively non-profit organizations based in Burgenland that have anchored corresponding objectives in their statutes and are registered in the association register. For a successful application, a financing plan, a current extract from the association register, and the latest annual financial statement are required. Eligible expenses include administrative and material costs, personnel costs and fees, travel expenses, as well as investments. Alcoholic beverages, tips, interest, dunning fees, flat-rate invoices without proof of service, re-billable items, imputed costs, and voluntary social benefits are not funded. Interested organizations can obtain detailed guidelines within the framework of the applicable Burgenland Senior Citizens Act and thus successfully realize their projects.
