Description
The Beteiligungstaler is a continuously available funding pool for civil society groups in Baden-Württemberg, supporting the implementation of local participation projects with grants of up to €2,000. Only material costs such as public relations, moderation, material expenses, catering, fees, as well as acquisition costs up to €800 plus VAT are eligible for funding. Community initiatives, associations, federations, or informal citizen groups can implement their measures with a 100% funding rate and must demonstrate through a municipal statement and a cost and financing plan why alternative financing is not possible. A particular focus is placed on projects that promote social cohesion, urban and neighborhood development, as well as rural strengthening, thereby actively fostering democracy and citizen participation locally.
Applications are submitted continuously via the funding portal of the Alliance for Participation, whereby all expenses must be directly related to the participation project and costs incurred before the funding approval are not recognized. In addition to classic formats of citizen participation, creative event concepts in neighborhoods, measures for local supply in rural areas, or information campaigns on sustainable mobility can be realized. Applying groups submit a project description, the municipal statement, and the financing plan. This low-threshold funding offer provides uncomplicated support to quickly translate ideas into practice and to sustainably strengthen local civil society.
