Before the child falls into the well – Prevention is child protection – a theory-practice transfer is aimed as a grant at non-profit organizations and public institutions in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. The Ehlerding Foundation, together with HAW Hamburg, Augenblicke e. V., and GUTE FEE e. V., invites you to a specialist conference that combines professional expertise and practical approaches. Speakers from science (e.g., resilience, attachment, and trauma research) and practice will convey action concepts for professionals working with children aged 0–6 years in lectures and moderated dialogue forums. The focus is on the theory-practice transfer for the prevention of sexualized violence in families and institutions: How can protection concepts be implemented? Which signals in interaction and attachment indicate risk? Experts will present proven tools such as video intervention and trauma-pedagogical diagnostics as well as participatory approaches for teams and leadership personnel.

The program addresses educational staff in day-care centers, nurseries, and early intervention centers as well as full-time and volunteer staff in child and youth welfare. The goal is to strengthen capacity for action in protection and intervention processes and to secure the social and emotional development of the very young in the long term. Through intensive workshops, professional networking, and tested methods, a platform for sustainable learning is created: thus, children become strong actors in their attachment, and professionals receive tailored impulses to effectively anchor prevention in everyday work.
