Description
The Federal Foreign Language Competition honors and awards outstanding foreign language achievements and intercultural creativity of young talents in Germany. Participants from grades 6 to 13 as well as trainees can demonstrate their language skills in various solo and team categories – from TEAM School through SOLO/SOLO Plus to TEAM Vocational – showcasing their abilities. The competition is organized by the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft e. V. in cooperation with Bildung & Begabung and features a continuous registration period without fixed deadlines. Creative contributions in video, stage, or multimedia formats are awarded, promoting not only language competence but also intercultural understanding and teamwork.
Eligible to participate are all students from grades 6 to 13 as well as trainees interested in foreign languages and intercultural competence. Registration is done via the online application portal; for minors, a signed parental consent form is required. The aim of the Federal Foreign Language Competition is to inspire young people to learn foreign languages, foster their media and creative talents, and establish networks between school, vocational training, and further support.
