Description
The state of Burgenland offers young families financial support worth €100 through the Burgenland Diaper Voucher funding program as a one-time grant for the purchase of a sustainable reusable diaper kit. Embedded in the thematic areas of social affairs, environmental/nature protection, labor & social issues, as well as energy efficiency & climate protection, this initiative not only strengthens the economic power of private households but also promotes an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The voucher eligibility applies to a minimum purchase of €350 and is valid only once per child. The selection of brands eligible for the diaper voucher is unrestricted and is made via a regional specialist retailer list, which offers a wide range of high-quality cloth diapers and accessories.
A prerequisite for approval is a primary residence in Burgenland and proof of a newborn or toddler up to the age of three. Expenses for disposable diapers as well as retroactive purchases are not eligible for funding. Applicants must submit the fully completed application form together with a birth certificate or the parent-child health booklet to the Office of the Burgenland State Government. The funding is ongoing and can be applied for until the child’s third birthday. The completeness of the documents is decisive; incomplete applications will not be considered. With this offer, Burgenland supports young parents in switching to reusable diapers and contributes to health-promoting and climate-friendly family structures.
