Description
The Care-for-Rare Academy program of the Care-for-Rare Foundation supports physicians and scientists nationwide who are engaged in the field of rare pediatric diseases. Through sponsorship, congress scholarships are awarded and research stays at renowned competence centers are facilitated. A special focus is placed on promoting translational research, which bridges the gap between laboratory and clinical practice – including at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Targeted support strengthens international knowledge transfer and advances innovative approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases.
Eligible applicants include private individuals as well as public institutions, provided they are engaged in medical or scientific activities related to rare diseases. Early-career scientists and physicians are offered a platform to expand their expertise and establish interdisciplinary networks. The program covers the areas of education & training, research & innovation, science, health, as well as work & social affairs. Applications can be submitted continuously, allowing interested parties to submit their projects at any time and receive individual support for congress attendance or research stays.
