Description
The Carl Bechstein Foundation annually invites to a prestigious music competition in Berlin, which has been focusing on young talents since 2014. In alternating categories—sometimes as a solo competition, sometimes in chamber music formation—music-enthusiastic children and adolescents come together in the Kulturstall of Schloss Britz. A total of over €10,000 is awarded as prizes to honor exceptional performances. Private emerging artists thus receive an exclusive stage to present themselves to an expert jury and gain valuable impulses for their artistic development.
With the aim of sustainably strengthening the joy of making music together, the Foundation relies on sustainable support and recognition: outstanding achievements are rewarded, while participants benefit permanently from public visibility and networking. Especially young pianists as well as chamber music ensembles find ideal conditions here to further develop their skills. The competition is aimed at private individuals in the children and youth sector and combines musical excellence with socio-cultural commitment. This creates a vibrant forum that encourages young people to live their passion together in demanding artistic categories and to compete at a high level.
