Description
The Salzburg state government supports agricultural enterprises through a subsidy for the temporary deployment of operational and household assistance as well as civil service personnel when the operator is significantly hindered in continuing the business due to serious illness, accident, spa or rehabilitation stay, institutional care, death, or other severe personal burdens and no replacement workforce is available. Both businesses and private individuals in the state of Salzburg are eligible for funding, provided that the annual total income of the operating couple does not exceed 1.2 times the established reference income. The measure aims to ensure the continuity of operational processes and to bridge short-term bottlenecks caused by personnel shortages. The subsidy is granted at a rate of 80%, with a 20% co-payment of the documented deployment costs remaining.
Applications can be submitted continuously: for unforeseeable deployments, no later than 14 days after the occurrence of the reason for deployment; for planned absences, upon notification of the date. Eligible expenses include wage-related costs for operational and household assistance as well as expenses for civil service personnel. To apply, among other documents, a fully completed billing form with municipal confirmation of marital status, the hours list, proof of payment, proof of income, and a medical certificate of incapacity to work must be submitted. The service processing takes place after review of the billing documents. This support provides agricultural enterprises with reliable relief in times of crisis and contributes to the stability of rural areas.
