Description
The Individual Projects, National program of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) offers researchers from all disciplines an open thematic funding opportunity for the implementation of individual basic research. With a maximum project duration of 48 months and a funding rate of 100%, up to €450,000 is provided for personnel expenses and material costs. The nationwide valid program is aimed at educational institutions and public institutions that have the necessary infrastructure. Applications are submitted continuously via the electronic portal elane and can still be submitted until 30.05.2099.
A prerequisite for funding is the scientific qualification of the applicants to lead the research project as well as the implementation at a suitable Austrian research institution. The decision is made by the Board of Trustees based on an international review, focusing on the quality of the research question. As part of the funding areas Research & Innovation and Science, the program supports pioneering projects in basic research with maximum temporal and substantive flexibility.
