Parent-Child Allowance

Parent-Child Allowance supports the health care of children in Upper Austria through an incentive totaling €405 per child, divided into three installments of €135 each. This funding rewards the timely completion of all examinations and vaccinations stipulated in the Parent-Child Pass, as well as additional ophthalmological and dental check-ups at ages 6 and 9. Eligible are guardians whose child was born on or after 01.01.2013 and who reside together in Upper Austria or are employed there. The financial support aims to ensure uninterrupted preventive examinations and to detect potential health risks early. The continuous disbursement after the completion of the 2nd, 5th, and 8th years of life raises awareness of preventive measures and contributes to the stable development of children in the long term.

Applications can be submitted within one year after the child’s 2nd, 5th, and 8th birthdays. Applicants must submit the fully completed application form (health booklet), proof of main residence or employment in Upper Austria, as well as medical evidence of the completed Parent-Child Pass examinations, vaccinations, and required dental check-ups. Upon positive verification, the payment is made directly to a designated current account. The combination of clearly defined deadlines and comprehensive documentation requirements ensures transparent processing and promotes comprehensive preventive care during childhood.
