Description
Energy Funding Vorarlberg supports the installation of modern, renewable heating and ventilation systems in existing residential buildings and community facilities. Funding is provided for the installation of thermal solar systems, wood heating systems, and house connections to district heating networks, electrically operated heat pumps for heating, as well as ventilation systems with heat recovery. Eligible applicants include natural and legal persons as well as companies located in the federal state of Vorarlberg; funding rates vary depending on the measure from 25% to 35% of the eligible investment costs, with a maximum grant of up to €4,000 per building or residential unit. The objective is a sustainable reduction of heating energy demand, emission reduction, and strengthening of energy autonomy by 2050. The combination with solar or photovoltaic systems is mandatory for new buildings and recommended for existing buildings.
A prerequisite for funding is that the measure is carried out in Vorarlberg and used exclusively for private purposes with a year-round primary residence. Only new investments in solar collectors, buffer storage tanks, heat pumps, duct systems, plumbing and electrical installations, as well as demolition and disposal costs of old heating technology, are eligible. Used systems, roof coverings, heat distribution systems (e.g., underfloor heating, radiators), individual room controls, and thermostatic valves are not eligible. Applications must be submitted within six months after commissioning to the Office of the Vorarlberg State Government, Department of General Economic Affairs (VIa). The application must include the completed form, any required energy certificate, final invoices with proof of payment, registration confirmations of all household members, any building permits, and for community facilities, the corresponding annex. Disbursement is carried out according to the four-eyes principle and may be additionally verified by on-site inspections.
