Description
EnviroNaut represents the first modular online training program for environmental officers in nautical tourism. As an EU co-financed project under Erasmus+, a comprehensive curriculum was developed in cooperation with renowned partners from business, science, and civil society. During the 24-month project duration, all essential topics – from energy efficiency and climate protection to environmental and nature conservation – were integrated into practical learning units. The program is offered free of charge and enables continuous professional development, which was previously lacking in the watersports sector. Upon successful completion, the European shipping industry awards a Europe-wide recognized qualification as an "Environmental Officer."
The funding is aimed at individuals, non-profit organizations, interest groups, and educational institutions active in the nautical tourism sector seeking to establish sustainable practices. An active engagement in the industry environment is required; applications can be submitted informally at any time via online registration. EnviroNaut promotes environmental awareness, facilitates the transition to sustainable nautical tourism, and provides all participants with valuable skills for future challenges. With open application deadlines and a flexible course structure, the program allows immediate entry and significantly contributes to strengthening ecological standards in watersports.
