Description
The Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program is an EU initiative aimed at promoting mutual exchange between aspiring entrepreneurs and established business owners across Europe. Participating start-ups and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have the opportunity to undertake one- to six-month stays in another member state as part of training and further education measures, gaining practical insights into daily business operations. The European Commission covers part of the costs in the form of a grant, thereby reducing financial barriers. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing for flexible planning of exchange and learning phases.
The program's focus is on knowledge and experience transfer: new entrepreneurs benefit from direct exchange with experienced hosts, while established companies receive fresh impulses and innovative ideas from across Europe. Additionally, a network of local contact points—including chambers of commerce, start-up centers, and incubators—supports the organization and implementation of the stays. Through international networking, not only can entrepreneurial skills be strengthened, but potential business partnerships can also be identified and long-term collaborations established. Participation is free of charge and offers sustainable advantages for the development of European companies seeking to enhance their innovation capacity and competitiveness on a cross-border level.
