The purpose of the supplementary measures is to support quality management and quality assurance in vocational training and to test or further develop system-relevant instruments in pilot trials. The corresponding development projects are defined and approved in detail by the funding committee of the Federal Vocational Training Advisory Board.

Description
The funding measure complements the nationwide system of company-based apprenticeship training through targeted development projects, which are defined in detail by the funding committee of the Federal Vocational Training Advisory Board. With a grant to strengthen quality management and quality assurance, innovative tools are tested and further developed in pilot trials. Eligible for funding are companies that train apprentices, as well as scientific institutions with expertise in vocational education research. Applications can be submitted within three months of the eligible event to enable the rapid, practice-oriented deployment of newly designed tools and testing procedures.
The aim of this call is to create tailored solutions, for example for internet platforms, recruitment aids, or creditable competency checks, thereby preventing dropouts proactively. A prerequisite is the implementation of quality-supporting projects in accordance with Directive § 19c para. 1 no. 8 BAG, optionally in cooperation with scientific institutions. Through practical testing and further development of system-relevant instruments, the program makes a significant contribution to the innovation capacity of dual vocational training and contributes to the long-term reduction of youth unemployment. Application submission is free of charge and continuously open.
