Description
The funding supports the development of a detailed renovation concept for private single-family homes in Vienna. Owners and tenants of single- or two-family houses receive a one-time, non-repayable grant of up to 1,000 euros (single-family houses) or up to 1,500 euros (two-family houses). This amount covers up to 50% of the verified and reasonable costs and is based on § 21 of the Renovation and Decarbonization Regulation 2024. The measure aims to establish planning-relevant foundations and to promote the energy-efficient modernization as well as the maintenance of existing buildings.
Eligible for funding are buildings used as the main residence and with a building permit at least 20 years old. Applicants must be private individuals acting as owners of single-family homes or allotment garden houses, or as tenants of allotment garden houses. Various documents must be submitted with the application: registration certificate, current land register excerpt or lease agreement, the completed renovation concept according to the guidelines, existing energy performance certificate, WUKSEA registration confirmation, subsequent energy certificate, as well as original invoices and proof of payment. Applications can be submitted from March 1, 2024, at any time without a deadline. The processing is carried out by the Vienna Housing Promotion Department (MA 50), which also provides advisory support and expert guidance throughout the entire process.
