Description
The EU grant specifically supports the participation of experienced ICT standardization specialists from companies, start-ups, and research institutions in international standardization bodies. With a funding rate of 100% and a maximum funding amount of €10,000, the program enables both short- and long-term contributions to global Standards Development Organizations (SDOs). Over a period of 3 to 9 months, membership fees, travel expenses, and personnel costs are covered, allowing European professionals to actively engage in technical discussions, comment on drafts, and advance decisions in standardization committees. The goal is to sustainably strengthen Europe’s position in global ICT standardization processes and to establish a comprehensive European standardization ecosystem.
Applicants based in an EU member state with proven experience in ICT standardization are eligible for funding. Applications are evaluated based on innovation content, relevance to EU standardization objectives, and the expertise of the applicants. Required documents include a detailed project description, a CV, a budget plan, and evidence of prior standardization work. The submission deadline is January 16, 2026, at 5:00 PM CET.
