FAME Dissertation Award 2027

The FAME Promotion Award 2027 of the Perspektive Hausärztinnen und Hausärzte Foundation honors outstanding scientific achievements in the field of primary care. Nationwide, a prize of €2,500 is awarded every three years to promote exceptional dissertations in the field of general medicine. The award is granted based on an expert jury evaluation that particularly recognizes scientific excellence and practical relevance for care in rural and urban general practitioner practices. The ceremonial award presentation will take place during the General Practitioners' Day in September 2027.

Eligible to participate are doctoral candidates who have submitted their dissertation through their own institute or chair by spring 2027 and whose work demonstrates outstanding scientific quality as well as significant relevance for primary care. The prize is aimed at individuals implementing research and innovation projects in the thematic areas of Research & Innovation, Science, Health, and Work & Social Affairs. As a shared goal, the Perspektive Hausärztinnen und Hausärzte Foundation seeks to strengthen commitment in general medicine through this award and to make pioneering research results accessible to both the general public and the professional community. Submission of the complete dissertation is possible until spring 2027.
