Description

The funding initiative Vocational and Study Orientation in Salzburg offers young people needs-based support in deciding between vocational training or university studies. Participation in interest-, competence-, or aptitude-based assessments as well as the subsequent counseling is subsidized through 50% grants (up to a maximum of €50). The goal is to increase the individual suitability of career and study choices and thereby reduce incorrect decisions. Funding is provided continuously, with applications to be submitted online within three months of the assessment date and documented by proof of payment.

Eligible for funding are students from grade 11 onwards, prospective students with a qualification not older than two years, as well as individuals in a phase of reorientation. A prerequisite for application is main residence in the federal state of Salzburg at the time of the assessment. Only expenses for the assessment and counseling are eligible – costs for travel, accommodation, teaching materials, or examination fees are excluded. Processing is done via an electronic form, on which proof of residence and payment must be uploaded. This initiative aims to optimally support adolescents and young adults in Salzburg in making accurate career and study choices.
