Description
The Aktion Mensch Foundation supports inclusive projects for young people up to 27 years old that address exclusion and bullying as part of the nationwide funding campaign “Taking a Stand! For More Respect and Diversity.” Non-profit organizations and public institutions recognized under § 75 SGB VIII or members of a welfare association can apply for grants of up to €7,500. No own funds are required; the funding rate is 100%. Projects may have total costs of up to €15,000 and should actively involve young people with and without disabilities. The application period runs from 01.10.2025 to 31.03.2026 or until the total funding amount of €5 million is exhausted. A maximum of three approvals per legal entity are possible during the campaign period, and the project duration is limited to twelve months.
Funding covers fees and material costs as well as expenses for structural, linguistic, and media accessibility. Projects already underway, those without an inclusive focus, measures abroad, or pure material acquisitions are excluded. The goal is to raise awareness of the consequences of exclusion, impart confidence in dealing with bullying, and strengthen social skills. Creative formats such as theater, poetry slam, social media campaigns, or action days offer diverse impulses for respectful coexistence in school, leisure, and the digital world. Young people are encouraged to engage as “Respect Ambassadors” and visibly take a stand for tolerance. Applicant organizations can submit their project ideas via the digital application portal and make a decisive contribution to diversity and social cohesion.
