The Inclusion Award of the Martinshof Foundation in Bremen honors outstanding projects and dedicated individuals every two years who promote inclusive coexistence through practical achievements or pioneering concepts. The award recognizes initiatives that place people with disabilities at the center and sustainably strengthen their participation in society, culture, and education. Private individuals, non-profit organizations, as well as public institutions are eligible to apply for the award. The accolade aims to honor innovative models that dismantle barriers, enable self-determination, and thereby make a significant contribution to social cohesion.

Decisive for the award are the degree of innovation of the submitted projects, their concrete contribution to participation, and their practical relevance in inclusive everyday life. Applications should have a clear focus on inclusion and clearly demonstrate how barriers are overcome and new access routes created. Particularly supported are concepts that combine creative ideas with sustainable impact and exemplify how people with disabilities can participate equally in all areas of life. The award is intended as an impetus for civil society engagement and encourages the further development and increased visibility of inclusive offerings.
