Funding Project: Telephone Counseling Service

The funding project "Telephone Counseling East Upper Franconia/Bayreuth" of the Oberfranken Pastoral Care Foundation has been sustainably supporting the psychosocial counseling of volunteers in Bavaria since 2010. With an annual grant of up to €10,000 (as of 2019), primarily the personnel costs of the management position are partially covered, and additionally individual training measures are promoted. The goal is the long-term securing of the around-the-clock anonymous counseling service for callers in crisis situations, the buildup of a financial reserve for the period after 2023, as well as the continuous qualification of the volunteer counselors. Through this support, the management remains able to professionally train and accompany the volunteers, thereby ensuring the counseling quality permanently.

Eligible for funding are exclusively non-profit and public sponsors, specifically the Protestant Deanery District Bayreuth-Bad Berneck in its function as operator of the Telephone Counseling Center East Upper Franconia/Bayreuth. Eligible for grants are personnel costs of the management position as well as training expenses. Since there is no deadline, applications can be submitted at any time. With this funding opportunity, the foundation specifically targets organizations that wish to continue reliably offering telephone counseling and rely on a partnership-based financing of their core structure.
