Description
The EIP-AGRI Brandenburg Funding Guideline 2023–2027 supports companies, non-profit organizations, public and educational institutions, start-ups, as well as private individuals in Brandenburg and Berlin. The focus is on promoting operational groups from agriculture, research, advisory services, and other stakeholders who collaboratively work on application-oriented innovations in the agricultural and forestry sectors. Funding is provided for personnel costs (flat rates) and additional costs amounting to 40% of the personnel costs, with a funding amount of up to 100% of eligible expenses. The project duration is up to 24 months, and projects of all company sizes may be submitted. A key requirement is a legally binding cooperation agreement among all participants, a detailed work plan according to specifications, and a positive result notification from the EIP Innovation Service Provider. The full grants aim to equally strengthen environmental and climate protection, digitalization, research & innovation, advisory services, and rural development.
Application documents must be submitted electronically to the EIP Innovation Service Provider by February 16, 2026 (date of receipt). Selection takes place through a multi-stage process: first, the Innovation Service Provider ensures a concept and plausibility check; subsequently, an EIP expert advisory board evaluates the projects based on established criteria such as innovation and practical relevance, operational group structure, concept quality, resource utilization, and communication. Successful participation leads to a positive result notification, after which the digital application can be submitted to the Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg. Potential project partners may take advantage of a free initial consultation. With the available EU and state funds totaling €5.8 million for the fourth call, practical solutions are to be established and disseminated widely.
