Funding from the Road Safety Fund

Funding from the Burgenland State Road Safety Fund supports a variety of measures to enhance safety in road traffic. Both infrastructure projects as well as studies and research work with a direct connection to Burgenland are eligible for funding. The focus is on strengthening traffic education, developing orientation aids, and preparatory planning activities in the field of road traffic safety. As a grant program with a total volume of €0.08 million, it enables private individuals, companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions to implement creative and effective initiatives aimed at accident prevention and raising awareness among all road users.

Project-responsible applicants may submit an application at any time, provided there is clear evidence of a project connection to the state of Burgenland and a targeted initiative to improve road safety on Burgenland’s roads. For the application, a completed application form as well as a declaration of acceptance and commitment must be submitted. Upon completion of the funded project, payment is generally made based on the submitted invoices and proof of performance. The open deadline structure allows for flexible planning and prompt implementation of measures that contribute to the sustainable improvement of road safety.
