Support for the Agitos Foundation

The Agitos Foundation supports innovative initiatives nationwide to strengthen sports and organizational development in the field of inclusion of people with disabilities. Since its founding in 2008, the foundation has supported IPC member organizations – such as national paralympic committees and international sports federations – through targeted, professional, and financial funding measures. The focus of the funding is on establishing effective frameworks that facilitate access to sports competition for athletes with disabilities and open up long-term prospects. High-quality training for coaches and professionals is as much a focus as the implementation of programs that combine education, public relations, and sustainable development.

The financial funding instrument of the Agitos Foundation is provided as a grant and is aimed at non-profit organizations that can demonstrate active involvement in the field of sports and inclusive educational work. The funding requirements include, among other things, training offerings for coaches as well as financial support for content-based programs that promote access to sports activities and public relations. By supporting educational measures, a contribution is also made to education for sustainable development. These diverse measures enable partner organizations to implement their initiative-specific concepts and thus pave the way for a more inclusive sporting environment.
