Support for the Salzgitter Community Foundation

The funding provided by the Bürgerstiftung Salzgitter is aimed at non-profit initiatives, associations, educational institutions, and committed private individuals who wish to sustainably enrich life in Salzgitter. A wide range of projects—from educational and youth initiatives to cultural undertakings, social participation, sports programs, and environmental and nature conservation measures—are supported with a one-time or recurring grant. Furthermore, the foundation supports projects in the areas of vocational training & continuing education, work & social affairs, culture & media, as well as energy efficiency & climate protection. Since its founding in 2002, funding activities amounting to over one million euros have made a tangible contribution to strengthening cohesion and promoting innovative ideas within the city community.

Submissions are accepted continuously and can be applied for at any time at the Bürgerstiftung Salzgitter. Only projects based in or carried out in Salzgitter with a clearly non-profit character are eligible for funding. Interested organizations and project leaders should provide a clear project description, financial plan, and proof of non-profit status in their application. Decisions are made based on alignment with the funding objectives, the sustainability of the project, and its contribution to the quality of life in Salzgitter.
