Funding of the Waldhof Citizens' Foundation for the Health of People and Nature

Since its founding in November 2023, the Waldhof Citizens' Foundation for the Health of People and Nature has been committed to community-oriented projects in Hesse, particularly at Waldhof, in the municipality of Greifenstein, and the surrounding area. As a grant-making foundation, it continuously awards subsidies to non-profit organizations, public institutions, and private individuals implementing initiatives in the fields of healthcare, nature and climate protection, education, as well as child, youth, and elderly welfare. Additionally, cultural projects and civic engagement are supported to strengthen regional diversity. A prerequisite for funding is proof of non-profit status and a project location within the municipality of Greifenstein or the surrounding region. The flexible submission option at any time allows for short-term planning and implementation of new ideas.

With the funding objective of promoting the health of people and nature and advancing sustainable development, the Waldhof Citizens' Foundation contributes to the preservation of biodiversity and the creation of innovative educational and upbringing opportunities. Art and cultural projects are supported just as much as initiatives linking work & social affairs, energy efficiency, and climate protection. Through targeted support of projects, a vibrant network of actors from various disciplines is created, strengthening social cohesion and enabling democratic participation. Local initiatives benefit from the foundation’s expertise and funding to establish sustainable concepts in the long term. In doing so, the Waldhof Citizens' Foundation sets an impetus for a future-proof, healthy, and solidaristic community in the region.
