Description

The German Foundation for Commodity Science supports science, research, education, training, and upbringing in the field of commodity science through an open-ended grant. Nationwide, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, foundations, companies, and private individuals may submit applications, provided they pursue projects in the areas of commodity knowledge and consumer education. Particular focus is placed on initiatives that convey fundamental and application-oriented commodity knowledge, develop innovative teaching and learning formats, or practically prepare new research findings. The grant application, available at any time on the Foundation’s website, ensures a straightforward application process.

Projects that promote the exchange between educational practice and science and make a sustainable contribution to consumer education are supported. These include, for example, interactive teaching materials, digital applications for commodity science, scientific studies on food value creation, or school initiatives in the field of nutrition. A fully completed grant application forms the basis for approval; supplementary documents are not required. Selection is based on the project's content relevance, innovativeness, and impact orientation. Interested parties receive all necessary information and the sample form directly via the Foundation’s download area. Through this permanent and transparent awarding practice, the German Foundation for Commodity Science fosters a sustainable strengthening of commodity knowledge in Germany.
