Description

The Horst Richter Foundation supports nonprofit organizations and educational institutions nationwide that are dedicated to assisting early-traumatized individuals and their relatives. With a focus on health, social affairs, children and youth, as well as education and training, projects of the Center for Psychotraumatology Kassel are primarily subsidized. A special emphasis is placed on stabilization training, which enables affected individuals to regain inner balance after distressing experiences. Additionally, emergency aid funds can be established to provide short-term relief in acute crisis situations for traumatized persons or their families, for example, following family catastrophes. The Horst Richter Foundation continuously grants subsidies to reduce barriers and financial hurdles.

Furthermore, the funding aims to enhance public relations: by procuring specialized literature on trauma-related disorders for lending to affected individuals, as well as revising and distributing informational materials, awareness within society and the professional community is to be advanced. Particularly foster and adoptive families benefit from this initiative, as they gain access to extensive information and specialized training. Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis, allowing for flexible project planning. Through the combination of financial support and targeted communication promotion, the Horst Richter Foundation contributes to sustainably improving the quality of life of early-traumatized individuals and increasing the reach of proven support services.
