Description

The Kurt and Erika Schrobach Foundation supports effective nature conservation projects in Schleswig-Holstein aimed at preserving valuable habitats, promoting biodiversity, and protecting biotopes. In close cooperation with locally rooted associations and organizations, measures such as the creation of insect islands, bat protection projects, rewetting of moors, and the development of floodplain landscapes are implemented. With a current portfolio of over 3,300 hectares of secured natural areas, the foundation is one of the largest private nature conservation sponsors in the region. Funding applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis, allowing for flexible responses to urgent ecological challenges.

Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations and public institutions based in Schleswig-Holstein whose projects serve habitat and species protection. Grants are provided to realize concepts for land conservation, revitalization of natural forests, or restoration of wetlands. Regional initiatives engaged in sustainable local nature conservation work are particularly encouraged to apply.
