Support for the Marienhaus Foundation (Assistance/Wishes from Residents)

The Marienhaus Foundation, based in Freiburg, supports elderly care in Baden-Württemberg and provides individual case assistance for residents of Marienhaus St. Johann e. V. In accordance with its statutes, it finances small and larger purchases as well as personal heartfelt wishes when personal funds are lacking. As a non-profit organization, it continuously offers subsidies to needy residents in the care and residential homes St. Marienhaus, Wohnheim St. Johann, and Stahlbad St. Antonius. The funding criteria are based on individual needs and the contribution to quality of life, with a focus on social and health aspects. Applications can be submitted continuously through the respective facility management; an informal description of the desired project or purchase suffices as proof of need.

Private individuals residing in one of the three facilities who wish to enhance their quality of life through a special purchase, a hobby project, or an excursion are eligible for funding. Among other things, bicycle tandems, Veeh harps, sports and therapy materials, as well as subscriptions or excursions, are supported. Applications are reviewed based on urgency and the expected improvement for the residents. The facility management coordinates and submits the applications to the foundation. Through these heartfelt wishes, the Marienhaus Foundation not only supports material acquisitions but also significantly contributes to making the daily lives of elderly and care-dependent people more humane and varied.
