Funding of the Raiffeisen Foundation (Funding Areas)

The Raiffeisen Foundation supports projects nationwide that sustainably strengthen rural cooperative systems. As a grant provider, it supports companies, educational institutions, researchers, students, private individuals, as well as non-profit and public institutions. A wide range of initiatives are funded in the areas of vocational training and further education, research & innovation, public relations, as well as scientific structures and higher education – from seminars and international training stays to scientific expert reports and endowed professorships. Applications can be submitted continuously, thus offering flexible planning opportunities for initiatives and measures with regional or supraregional relevance. Essential is always the proof of a connection to the rural cooperative system and the selection of one of the defined funding areas.

The goal of the Raiffeisen Foundation is to strengthen both practical vocational and further training offers as well as scientific junior research. For example, project work in schools and universities, research projects on future issues of agriculture and structural developments of cooperative enterprises, or public relations campaigns to promote the image in rural areas are funded. In addition, master's theses and dissertations with a cooperative focus can be supported, as well as the establishment of junior professorships. The foundation accompanies projects that create sustainable added value for the cooperative system through innovative ideas and scientific grounding.
