Since its founding in 2008 as a community institution in North Rhine-Westphalia, the Reken Foundation has been supporting innovative projects that strengthen cohesion and shared responsibility within the municipality of Reken. As a non-profit initiative supported by committed citizens, associations, and companies, the foundation focuses on various areas including education, culture, sports, science, and social projects. The funding targets projects that make a sustainable contribution in Reken in the fields of child, youth, elderly, and disability care, charitable purposes, or the preservation of cultural assets. Particular emphasis is placed on initiatives that promote cultural diversity, international-mindedness, and tolerance, while optimally utilizing the potential of the regional community.

In addition to sports projects—especially grassroots and youth sports—the funding also covers educational initiatives as well as projects pursuing cultural and scientific objectives. Through the provision of grant amounts, the Reken Foundation aims to initiate or further develop various projects in Reken that strengthen the social and cultural cohesion of the community. The broad funding strategy is directed at both non-profit organizations and companies whose engagement advances community spirit. This diversity is underscored by the inclusion of various disciplines, thereby giving consideration to innovative and interdisciplinary approaches in education, general and vocational training, as well as projects dedicated to the preservation of historical and cultural values.

Interested stakeholders currently implementing projects locally in Reken and wishing to make a sustainable contribution to cultural, sporting, educational, or scientific development can benefit from ongoing funding.
