Funding by the Savings Banks Foundation of the Regional Bank Kreissparkasse

The Savings Bank Foundation of the Landesbank Kreissparkasse supports a diverse range of volunteer projects dedicated to the protection of the environment and climate with its Environmental Award. The call for applications is aimed at all those active within the business area of the Landesbank Kreissparkasse in Baden-Württemberg who are committed to environmentally compatible, sustainable development. With this grant of 2,500 euros, initiatives engaged in the fields of environmental/nature conservation, climate protection, energy efficiency, and sustainable environmental design are to be supported. The focus is particularly on voluntary work that contributes to finding innovative and practical solutions for addressing current ecological challenges.

Eligible for funding are individuals as well as groups, associations, non-profit and public institutions, educational establishments, companies, and other organizations that can prove their permanent (residential) location within the business area of the Landesbank Kreissparkasse. The proposed approach must also have a direct connection to this region. Projects that, for example, create and maintain biotopes, maintain bodies of water or facilities, carry out planting campaigns, or develop concepts for waste recycling and energy savings are especially encouraged. Measures aimed at communicating environmental burdens, illustrating environmental impacts on health, or sustainably redesigning areas also qualify as fundable projects. Application documents, which must include the prescribed application form, may be supplemented with additional images, sketches, or documentation to vividly present the commitment.

The ongoing funding offers a long-term perspective for committed initiatives in the region by creating conditions that place social and ecological engagement at the forefront. Through this, the foundation demonstrates its commitment to supporting projects that contribute to the sustainable improvement of living conditions in Baden-Württemberg. A transparent process and clear criteria in selecting projects worthy of funding ensure that the diversity of volunteer engagement is recognized. The initiative motivates various stakeholders to develop and implement their own ideas to tackle the challenges of climate change – a step that sustainably strengthens both community spirit and environmental awareness.
