Funding by the Active Citizens Foundation

The Active Citizens Foundation supports charitable and non-profit projects in the Borken district, in Stadtlohn, and in the surrounding communities of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. As grant funding, projects in the areas of social affairs, education and training, work & social issues, arts and culture, construction and monument preservation, environmental and nature conservation, animal protection, as well as sports, infrastructure, urban development, energy efficiency, and climate protection are supported. Additionally, initiatives from culture & media are promoted to further enliven social cohesion. Private individuals, associations, and non-profit organizations have direct access to financial resources to strengthen the common good and make the diversity of the region visible. Allocation is made independently of political or denominational influences and is based on transparent, fair criteria.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, enabling needs-based planning of non-profit projects without fixed deadlines. A prerequisite for funding is a demonstrable area of impact in Borken, Stadtlohn, or the surrounding area. An informal application is sufficient; additional documents are generally not required. The allocation is publicly documented annually, fostering trust in the sustainable use of funds. Annual reporting on funded projects contributes to transparency and motivates further supporters to actively participate. Committed citizens, associations, and initiatives benefit from uncomplicated procedures to implement effective ideas locally.
