Funding of the Ev.-Luth. St. Thomas Leipzig Church Foundation

The Evangelical Lutheran St. Thomas Leipzig Foundation specifically supports parish work in Saxony and helps to alleviate personnel shortages as well as initiate new projects. As an ongoing grant program, it exclusively supports non-profit organizations and public institutions – in particular the Evangelical Lutheran St. Thomas Leipzig parish itself. By co-financing personnel positions, both established traditions are preserved and new impulses for community activities are set. The continuous provision of funds makes it possible to respond to changing conditions of church tax and to strengthen the commitment of full-time and volunteer staff.

Those primarily interested are employees and volunteers within the parish who are involved in parish work and can demonstrate personnel expenses. Applications can be submitted at any time and are processed simply without fixed deadlines. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations or public institutions active within the framework of the St. Thomas parish. The funding exclusively covers personnel expenses, thus providing a tailored solution for strengthening personnel. Through participation in the foundation, shortages can be sustainably bridged, new initiatives launched, and church traditions secured for future generations.
