Funding of the Foundation "Culture Benefits Leer"

Since its founding, the "Kultur tut Leer gut" Foundation has been promoting cultural activities in the Lower Saxony region, with a special focus on Leer and its surroundings. It supports individuals active in the fields of music, painting, literature, and other art disciplines, aiming to make creative projects and initiatives accessible to a broader public. Through a grant model, selected projects receive financial support to sustainably strengthen the creativity and artistic diversity of the region. The funding initiative is expressly aimed at artists and cultural practitioners who have their residence or workplace in Leer or the immediate vicinity and can demonstrate verifiable activity in the cultural sector.

Funding applications can be submitted at any time, as the foundation offers ongoing allocation opportunities and does not set fixed deadlines. Interested persons only need to describe their project idea and prove that they are based in the region and engaged in artistic activity. After reviewing the submitted documents, a board of trustees decides on the awarding of grants. In addition to financial support, the foundation aims to foster cultural networks by promoting encounters between artists and initiating joint activities.
