Funding by the Life and Work Foundation

The Life and Work Foundation in Saxony continuously supports charitable and benevolent initiatives across diverse fields of action such as monument preservation, child and youth welfare, senior care, as well as culture and education. Grants are awarded to projects that contribute to preserving historical heritage, strengthening social cohesion, and promoting Christian values as well as democratic skills. The funding is equally aimed at economically disadvantaged individuals of all ages and at committed initiative groups seeking to implement sustainable educational, upbringing, or cultural offerings in their region.

Both private individuals and non-profit organizations, interest groups, and associations dedicated to children, youth, or seniors, or planning cultural events, are eligible for funding. Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis following individual contact with the foundation. Interested project sponsors may apply for individual measures – ranging from restorations and recreational activities to seminars and urban development projects. The inclusive-oriented funding approach is emphasized by needs-based support for disadvantaged groups.
