Funding of the Martinshof Foundation

The funding from the Martinshof Foundation supports projects and initiatives that promote the social participation as well as the personal and professional education of adults with intellectual, psychological, and multiple disabilities in and around Bremen. This includes, among others, initiatives in the fields of social affairs, health, education, sports, vocational training & further education, as well as culture & media. A special focus lies on health- and leisure-oriented concepts that sustainably contribute to greater self-determination, self-confidence, and recognition. Funding amounts are granted as subsidies and enable both non-profit organizations and private individuals to implement inclusive projects that meet the needs of this target group.

Funding requests can be submitted at any time, as ongoing funding opportunities exist. A prerequisite is the submission of a project outline via the contact form on the Martinshof Foundation’s website. The planned project must have a clear connection to people with disabilities and be realized in Bremen or the surrounding area. After reviewing all submitted applications, a committee decides on the grants. The continuous allocation allows for flexible planning and helps ensure that both established and innovative activities in the specified funding areas are supported quickly and without bureaucracy.
