Funding from the Monheim Foundation of the Stadtsparkasse Düsseldorf

Since 2001, the Monheim Foundation of the Stadtsparkasse Düsseldorf has been supporting non-profit projects in the city area of Monheim am Rhein to sustainably strengthen the local community. A wide range of initiatives from the fields of youth and elderly care, art and culture, monument preservation, education, welfare, sports, environmental/nature conservation, animal protection, and international understanding are supported. The aim of the funding is to realize the statutory purposes of the foundation by strengthening local organizations and institutions in their work through financial grants. Only tax-recognized and non-profit associations that can demonstrate their activities within the city area of Monheim am Rhein are eligible for funding.

Financial support is granted as a subsidy and enables applicants to implement diverse projects in the social, cultural, or ecological sectors. Clear guidelines and evaluation criteria apply to the funding, which include a project presentation compliant with the statutes, proof of non-profit status, and a personal contribution for funding volumes from 2,000 euros. Applications must be submitted in full by September 30 of the current year – for cultural associations, the deadline is extended to March 31 of the following year. The foundation provides specific forms, such as the application for a grant or basic funding, which facilitate access to the funding and ensure transparent processing of incoming projects.

The foundation’s continuous funding opportunities contribute to making the cultural heritage, social cohesion, and environmental protection on site sustainable for the future. With a consistent focus on the proper use of funds, which is monitored even after project completion through usage reports and grant confirmations, the sustainable success of the projects is ensured. The targeted support of innovative and socially relevant projects not only strengthens regional identity but also promotes intercultural exchange and the preservation of natural living conditions in Monheim am Rhein. In doing so, the foundation makes a significant contribution to the further development and integration of the local community.
