Description
The PfalzMetall Foundation supports non-profit organizations and public institutions in Rhineland-Palatinate whose projects have a clear scientific-technical (STEM) focus or a cultural-social orientation. Projects with a direct impact in the Palatinate region are funded – ranging from student university groups and initiatives in teacher training to daycare centers, primary and secondary schools, as well as art, cultural, and social initiatives. Grants may be awarded once or multiple times and cover research and educational projects as well as activities in art, culture, and social fields. The board, together with the foundation council, decides on the submitted applications once a year; however, funding applications can be submitted at any time.
To apply, a fully completed funding application, a concise project description, a detailed financing plan, and the bank details of an organization authorized to issue donation receipts are required. A prerequisite for funding is that the project’s impact takes place exclusively in the Palatinate and that the foundation’s statutory objectives in the areas of science, research, education, upbringing, art, culture, or social affairs are upheld. Evaluation criteria include alignment with the STEM focus or foundation purpose, local impact in the Palatinate, and compliance with the foundation’s statutes. Submissions are assessed based on their potential to sustainably strengthen the Palatinate as a location for education and research and to generate cultural and social impulses locally.
