Description
Since 2007, the Schloßpark Pansevitz Foundation has been committed to the careful maintenance and historical preservation of a park ensemble on Rügen that is around 700 years old. Ongoing grants support new plantings, landscape maintenance, and structural measures to preserve the listed garden in its original beauty. In addition to measures in monument protection and park construction, initiatives to increase energy efficiency and climate protection are also funded. The goal is to create a sustainable and ecologically balanced environment that offers a valuable experiential space for both nature and culture enthusiasts. Applicants from non-profit organizations, foundations, associations, interest groups, as well as private individuals, may submit applications at any time without a fixed deadline. Eligible expenses include comprehensive park and landscape maintenance, new plantings, the conception and implementation of guided tours, as well as the realization of cultural programs and exhibitions.
Furthermore, the foundation supports cultural and media projects that enliven the castle park through concerts, art exhibitions, readings, and thematic tours. Events such as the Open Monument Day or informational walks through the FriedWald promote awareness of both environmental and monument protection equally. Through financial support, a diverse program is created that appeals to visitors of all generations and establishes the park as a place of cultural exchange and nature experience. The broad range of funding categories enables the setting of infrastructural and urban development highlights and the networking of local initiatives. In this way, the Schloßpark Pansevitz Foundation makes a significant contribution to strengthening art, culture, and environmental awareness in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and preserving the historic park for future generations.
