Description
With the program Support for Participation in Scientific Events, the State of Vorarlberg supports early-career researchers from the fields of Research & Innovation as well as Science in actively participating in international congresses and conferences. The goal is to specifically strengthen the regional research landscape and foster networking with international experts. Eligible to apply are private individuals with a connection to Vorarlberg who are delegated by a university, college, or research institution. The flat-rate travel allowance covers travel expenses, accommodation costs, and conference fees and amounts to up to €500 per applicant. Applications can be submitted at any time and should be made well in advance of the event start date.
To receive funding, applicants must take on an active role at the event (e.g., lecture, presentation, moderation) and incur special costs due to this participation. Daily fees or similar daily rates are not eligible for funding. The application must include a fully completed application form and, for students, a letter of recommendation from the supervising professor. After participation, a report and proof of attendance, original invoices including proof of payment, as well as an overall financing statement must be submitted.
