Description

The Tunnelblick Foundation supports individuals nationwide who are acutely affected by mental illnesses such as depression, burnout, anxiety disorders, or PTSD, as well as people impacted by bullying, domestic violence, or stalking. With the aim of shortening the lengthy waiting times for specialist treatment and enabling immediate assistance in crisis situations, the funding ensures timely access to experts in psychiatry and psychotherapy. In addition, those affected receive a free initial assessment by specialist lawyers in labor and criminal law. Homeless individuals are also directly supported in their living situations through outreach work and specialized assistance programs.

The program offers direct referral to specialists on-site, promotes therapy places, and covers the financing of corresponding services. In the area of legal initial consultation, bullying incidents are reviewed and, upon request, those affected are supported in further legal steps. Additionally, individual family support and specialized services for domestic violence or stalking are provided. Events such as seminars, lectures, and discussion rounds on mental health topics strengthen public awareness. Applications can be submitted at any time, as ongoing funding is guaranteed. Through this integrative concept, the foundation focuses on rapid, professional help and contributes to ensuring that people in acute psychological distress are no longer left alone.
