The foundation places great emphasis on the solidity and quality of the measures as well as visible impacts for the local population and institutions. Funding decisions are made on an ongoing basis, with processing times – depending on the volume of incoming applications – of up to six months.
Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, private individuals, and public institutions with a residence or business location within the funding area. Applications may be submitted in writing at any time; the corresponding form is available as a fillable PDF. Grants are provided as non-repayable subsidies ranging from €1,000 to €500,000 and may cover personnel costs, material expenses, travel costs, as well as expenses for public relations.
