Funding of the Walter Behrens Foundation (children with multiple disabilities, spastic paralysis, and blind children)

As private applicants from the fields of children and youth as well as social and healthcare services, families can continuously apply for grants for customized assistive devices, specialized therapy courses, and individual case assistance. With its focus on individual case assessments, the foundation ensures that the most urgent support needs are identified and addressed promptly. Through close communication with those affected and their families, a trusting foundation is established to enable tailored measures that strengthen participation in everyday life.

Funding is provided for expenses related to technical and therapeutic support services, which are approved upon submission of proof of multiple disabilities, spastic paralysis, or blindness. Decisions are based on the urgency of the requested measure and its expected benefit to the children's quality of life. Continuous application submissions are possible, allowing acute needs to be met promptly.
