Funding from the Wolfgang Hamann Foundation

Since 2005, the Wolfgang Hamann Foundation has been committed to opening up new perspectives for children and young people from low-income families in the Hilden area and surroundings. With a focus on education, music, as well as social cohesion and the promotion of democracy, the foundation provides individual support such as covering school fees, supplying learning materials, and offering tutoring. Additionally, local cultural, integration, and media projects are supported to sustainably foster the potential of young people. The funding is aimed at private individuals, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations in North Rhine-Westphalia that advocate for equal opportunities, social participation, and cultural education.

As continuously available grant offerings, expenses for school fees, material costs, and workshop and travel expenses can be claimed, among others. Projects or applicants with residence or project location in and around Hilden that demonstrate a clear connection to education, music, or participation for disadvantaged children and young people are eligible for funding. Applications require a cover letter with a project description, a cost and financing plan, as well as proof of income. Thanks to the regional network of strong partners, the foundation sustainably supports initiatives that empower young people and accompany their personal development.
