Description

The funding for the equipment of the Red Cross Disaster Service in Burgenland supports non-profit organizations in the targeted upgrading of their disaster protection structures. Funding is provided particularly for acquisitions for disaster protection warehouses, rescue and ambulance vehicles, as well as measures for disaster preparedness. Structured as a grant, the program is exclusively aimed at the Burgenland regional association of the Austrian Red Cross. The funding framework includes a budget of 0.06 million euros and supports expenses that can be substantiated by corresponding invoices. Under the legal basis of the Disaster Relief Act, this support makes an important contribution to increasing operational readiness and safety in the event of a disaster.

Applications can be submitted continuously from 01.01.2014 until the funding volume is exhausted. A prerequisite for the funding grant is a written funding application, to which the original invoices of the procured equipment items must be attached. The submitted documents will be checked for plausibility and earmarking, with a focus on the traceability of payment transactions. Through this transparent and needs-based funding, it is ensured that the Red Cross Disaster Service in Burgenland remains permanently equipped with modern and efficient resources.
